Officer only events are not on the calendar unless they are held off-site. This helps to prevent confusion. The same is true if the event is only for the Advisor(s).

Event Details
Texas DECA CDC in Dallas
There will be an informational meeting that is required for all students and a parent/guardian. We are taking buses to Dallas.
Please plan to arrive at IHS at approximately 6:00AM. You will want to bring a couple of snacks and water in a disposable bottle in a clear backpack along with all other necessities. You will NOT be allowed to leave the premises for safety and security reasons without Mr. Chiles’ consent. You will only be allowed to leave in peer groups within a set radius of the location to pre-approved businesses. You may not leave early. For an extensive list of rule, please refer to the Handbooks and/or ask your Advisor.
There will be 5,000 high school students, Advisors, business professionals, industry experts, Judges, and alumni from all over Texas. There are also chaperones who may be other Teachers, school administration, alumni, community volunteers, parents/guardians, Advisors’ spouses, and/or Judges. If you know anyone that is interested in volunteering their time with DECA, they must be fully background checked prior to service by FISD. Please contact your Advisor here for additional details.

ICDC In Orlando
This is our version of The Super Bowl with approximately 20,000 high school students, Advisors, business professionals, industry experts, Judges, and alumni from all over the world. There are also chaperones who may be other Teachers, school administration, alumni, community volunteers, parents/guardians, Advisors’ spouses, and/or Judges. If you know anyone that is interested in volunteering their time with DECA, they must be fully background checked prior to service by FISD. Please contact your Advisor here for additional details.

This is an excellent time for everyone going to ICDC to polish up and practice, practice, practice, and study some more!
Texas DECA CDC in Houston
There will be an informational meeting that is required for all students and a parent/guardian. We are taking buses to Houston.

District 7 CDC at Irving Convention Center
Please plan to arrive at IHS at approximately 6:00AM. You will want to bring a couple of snacks and water in a disposable bottle in a clear backpack along with any other necessities. We will eat lunch together in the cafeteria. There is a vegetarian option provided. If you don’t like the lunch that is provided or anticipate you will need additional snacks, please bring funds for the vending machines. You will NOT be allowed to leave the premises under any circumstances for safety and security reasons. Please plan to arrive back at the high school at approximately 8:00PM.

D7 Team Building/Leadership Day (Event Pending)
This is a District 7 Team Building/Leadership Day at Group Dynamix. There is a fee per participant.
It is for officers only.
The event is pending and has not been approved and/or finalized yet. Please keep the date open for planning purposes only. Officers are required to attend.
Membership Dues DEADLINE
They are loaded into Online School Fees. Please keep a copy for your records.

Texas CDC Test
State CDC Test is for everyone whose event has a testing component. You will be assigned a day. You can NOT select a day to test. Check Remind for details.
Final State CDC Written Submissions DEADLINE
District CDC Written Event Submissions Are Due
If you want them to be reviewed for penalty points prior to submission, you need to send your presentation to the officers two weeks prior.
Texas CDC Written Submissions Penalty Point DEADLINE
Do you want the officers, a former winner in your category, an experienced judge, and/or an advisor to review your paper and penalty point it prior to submitting it? Please keep in mind that your peers are also busy with their own papers, so you need to allow for additional time. You will also need time to make corrections.
Please submit them for review to Mr. Chiles.
Texas Officer APPLICATION DEADLINE
If you are interested in becoming an officer at the state level, please go here for additional information. You must complete the ‘Intent to Run’ and take the state exam during the district window first. Applications must be submitted prior to their due date with DECA.
