Officer only events are not on the calendar unless they are held off-site. This helps to prevent confusion. The same is true if the event is only for the Advisor(s).

Texas DECA CDC in Dallas

Texas DECA CDC in Dallas

There will be an informational meeting that is required for all students and a parent/guardian. We are taking buses to Dallas.

Please plan to arrive at IHS at approximately 6:00AM. You will want to bring a couple of snacks and water in a disposable bottle in a clear backpack along with all other necessities. You will NOT be allowed to leave the premises for safety and security reasons without Mr. Chiles’ consent. You will only be allowed to leave in peer groups within a set radius of the location to pre-approved businesses. You may not leave early. For an extensive list of rule, please refer to the Handbooks and/or ask your Advisor.


There will be 5,000 high school students, Advisors, business professionals, industry experts, Judges, and alumni from all over Texas. There are also chaperones who may be other Teachers, school administration, alumni, community volunteers, parents/guardians, Advisors’ spouses, and/or Judges. If you know anyone that is interested in volunteering their time with DECA, they must be fully background checked prior to service by FISD. Please contact your Advisor here for additional details.

Bus routes, bus scheduling, Driver availability, the number of students participating, and traffic are all unknown factors as well as how we may be potentially affected by pandemic precautions at the time.

This is our version of The Super Bowl with approximately 20,000 high school students, Advisors, business professionals, industry experts, Judges, and alumni from all over the world. There are also chaperones who may be other Teachers, school administration, alumni, community volunteers, parents/guardians, Advisors’ spouses, and/or Judges. If you know anyone that is interested in volunteering their time with DECA, they must be fully background checked prior to service by FISD. Please contact your Advisor here for additional details.

District 7 CDC at Irving Convention Center

Please plan to arrive at IHS at approximately 6:00AM. You will want to bring a couple of snacks and water in a disposable bottle in a clear backpack along with any other necessities. We will eat lunch together in the cafeteria. There is a vegetarian option provided. If you don’t like the lunch that is provided or anticipate you will need additional snacks, please bring funds for the vending machines. You will NOT be allowed to leave the premises under any circumstances for safety and security reasons. Please plan to arrive back at the high school at approximately 8:00PM.

Texas CDC Written Submissions Penalty Point DEADLINE

Do you want the officers, a former winner in your category, an experienced judge, and/or an advisor to review your paper and penalty point it prior to submitting it? Please keep in mind that your peers are also busy with their own papers, so you need to allow for additional time. You will also need time to make corrections.
